Ion Caras has returned to Moldova for his second spell as the national team manager after he recently confirmed his appointment.

Ion Caras will be taking charge of Moldova for the crucial 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, which will be beginning shortly. He has said that it is a great honour to return to coach the Moldova national team.

This will be his second spell at the helm of the national team after previously guiding the team to various high-profile tournaments like the European and World Cup qualifying campaign's during the late 1990s.

Football in Moldova is set to reach new heights after an Eastern European League plan was unveiled in Sofia. This plan will be improving the financial options for the various clubs in the region.

On November 12th 2011, FC Dinamo Bucharest will be playing in a friendly match against Moldovan champions Dacia Chisinau. Its promises to be a fascinating match, with the champions of Romania battling it out with the champions and leaders of the Moldovan league. The match is to commemorate the 12 anniversary of Dacia being founded.

An Azerbaijan team comfortably beat a Moldovan club in the recent friendly (as predicted by the Free Bets website. Though the opponent was older, the match ended with the huge victory of Azerbaijani footballers-3-0.

Seyran Mammadov authored the double goals, while the other goal came from Khalil Ahmadov.

FC Dacia Chisinau is a Moldovan football club, playing in the city of Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. They play in the Divizia Nationala, the top division in Moldovan football.

The club qualified for the 2005-06 UEFA Cup qualifying rounds by finishing third in the Moldovan league the previous season. In 2007, they reached the third round of the UEFA Intertoto Cup after beating FK Baku and FC St. Gallen in penalties, and eventually drawing 1-1 with Hamburg SV but losing on 4-0 at the Hamburg Arena.
