BRAZIL WIN CONFED GROUP

Brazil managed to win their group in the Confederations cup following a 4-2 win over Italy. As a result of this win, they will be facing Uruguay in the semifinals of the competition.

Even though the last few matches have been the first competitive encounters Brazil have been facing after more than two years, they have been able to grind results and reach the semifinals quite comfortably. Uruguay, though, will be giving them a great competition in the semifinals, which has led to major bookmakers giving narrow odds on the match.

Despite the tough nature of the encounter, Brazil still remain as the favourites due to the presence of mercurial talents like Neymar and Oscar. New Barcelona signing Neymar has been one of the standout players in the tournament and it will not be surprising to see him open the scoring.

In fact, one would get great odds at Neymar scoring any time in the match. Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has also been in fine form for the national team. He recently managed to surpass Diego Forlan as the leading scorer for the national team following his two goals against Tahiti.

The 8-0 victory for Uruguay against Tahiti does not give too much to read into because they have been the whipping boys so far in this tournament. Neymar to score anytime is one of the best odds from several bookmakers as it is evens. Brazil, meanwhile, are rated 11/4 to score two goals in the match.

Uruguay are expected to recall their star names like Edinson Cavani and Diego Forlan. Brazil, meanwhile, are expected to miss the influential midfielder Paulinho for this one. The midfielder suffered an ankle injury in the match against Italy, and the medical staff are working hard to get him on the field in time for this match.
